The Nativity of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is celebrated on July 29/August 11. 🙏💐
Unlike most saints’ feasts, which usually commemorate their departure from this life, this feast marks the earthly birth of the saint. A humble selection of icons and frescoes from Byzantine, Balkan, Russian, and Western traditions follows.
